Porter McClister

All The Way From Nashville!

Do not miss this opportunity to see one of the finest guitarists living and working in Nashville today.

Porter McClister, who was the original inspiration for The BAND Festival, has agreed to fly to Ireland specifically to play BAND 2018. He will be playing for the first time ever in Europe, in Dunfanaghy!

Porter McClister is an extremely talented, Nashville based guitarist, and singer. He trained as a classical pianist at Michigan University, and amongst other accolades, is a graduate of the Berklee School of Music. However, he decided to concentrate, and earn his living, on his unique, guitar skills.

Until recently he played lead guitar in the infamous Robert's Western World with Don Kelly's Band, who is famous in Nashville for attracting talented guitarists.

On the bigger stage, he was also, until recently, the lead guitarist with American country music star Tanya Tucker, and is strongly featured on her famous “Live at Billy Bob’s” recording. In the past he has also toured as lead guitarist with award winning, multimillion seller, Gretchen Wilson. He sang back up to Allison Krauss on the “Oh Brother Where Art Thou” soundtrack’s “Down to the River” track.

This is a unique opportunity to see Porter, a big lump of Nashville, for the first time ever in Europe, right here, on stage, in Dunfanaghy, at BAND 2018.

Do not miss Porter!
